Hurricane Delta was unquestionably one of the most destructive hurricanes to ever strike the United States and Mexico. This category 4 storm was so intense that it caused flooding and property damage. It was dangerous and headed for the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico.
Ricardo Pimental, an animal rescuer, was aware of how dangerous the hurricane was and took the appropriate precautions to protect the animals in Tierra de Animales, an animal sanctuary. Ricardo boarded up the windows, strengthened the roof, and ensured that all the animals had shelter and were safe from the hurricane.
The majority of the dogs in Ricardo’s rescue facility did not have hurricane-proof shelters. Therefore, Ricardo decided that the best course of action would be to transfer all 300 rescue dogs into his residence. Ricardo spent hours bringing each dog inside his home to protect them.
By the time Ricardo was done, his home was filled with 300 dogs, and the hallway resembled a carpet of living fur. The dogs were crammed into Ricardo’s residence, which smelled different from usual. Ricardo, though, did not care about the odor. He only desired to protect the creatures which he loved so dearly.
Ricardo uploaded a little video of his pets to his social media account. Even amid the storm, Ricardo was busy ensuring that every dog was well-fed and comfortable. Ricardo was unaware that his social media post had already gone viral and that money was pouring in to assist him care for all 300 rescue canines.
People from different parts of the world donated what they could, and Ricardo received thousands of dollars to assist him in caring for the animals at his sanctuary. Ricardo could really hardly believe what was happening, and he surely was extremely grateful to everyone who had donated and assisted him. All of the animals in Ricardo’s shelter, including the dogs, were safe because of his compassion.
After the storm passed, the community assisted Ricardo in cleaning up his home and repairing the hurricane-related damage to the shelter.
The man genuinely cares for the animals he rescues, and he ensures that none are abandoned.
