We can all agree that our dogs fill our homes with so much love and happiness. These animals are never afraid to express their love to the people they care about, which is why they’re very popular to have as pets. Dogs always give unconditional love to the people they care for and they’re never afraid or shy to express it.
A Golden Retriever named Kody is a great example of how much love dogs are capable of. Kody isn’t just a treasured member of his family, but he also formed a strong bond with his human sister, Autumn.
Autumn is the youngest member of her family. When Kody joined the family, he and Autumn instantly became best friends and were inseparable. It’s rare to see Autumn and Kody apart and they’re always spending hours playing out in the yard or just spending time together on the couch cuddling or watching TV.
However, Autumn grew up and had to go to school. She couldn’t take Kody with her to school and getting separated from each other for an extended period was something new for both of them. Autumn’s grandmother wondered how Kody would cope whenever Autumn isn’t home. Although Kody got sad at first, he adjusted quickly once he realized that Autumn would always come home in the afternoon.
Soon after Kody realized this, he started to hang out on the driveway during the afternoon to wait for the bus to drop off Autumn. When the bus finally drops off Autumn, Kody would greet Autumn enthusiastically with puppy kisses and cuddles. Kody makes sure that Autumn knows how much he misses her by always giving her the best welcome home greetings.
In addition to the puppy kisses and cuddles, Kody insists on carrying Autumn’s backpack. He would carry Autumn’s backpack in his mouth and lead the way to the front door. Kody would always look back to see if Autumn is keeping up with him and would always stop and waits for her whenever he thinks she is too far behind.
Although this is something that can be taught to a dog, it was second nature for Kody. Nobody taught him to carry Autumn’s backpack or wait for her on the driveway in the afternoon. Here’s a video featuring the adorable friendship between Kody and Autumn that will truly make your heart melt.
