There is nothing more uplifting than videos of strays being adopted by loving families. We are all aware of how awful life can be for stray dogs and how scared they might become of humans. But if they learn to open up, they can experience what it is like to be loved.
A video showed a couple’s efforts to save a stray dog. It took them a year to earn his trust, but when they eventually did, they felt incredible. This is the kind of fantastic story that makes us all feel good about life.
Couple Joe and Maria live in a community with wide expanses of open land. As a result, many irresponsible dog owners abandon their unwanted pets there.
Once, while walking near their home, the pair observed a dog walking in front of them. The couple, both dog lovers, attempted to attract the dog’s attention. But as they approached, the stray dog began to flee.
Joe and Maria would always encounter the same dog whenever they walked around their neighborhood. They attempted to coax it closer, but it appeared to be terrified of humans. They would call out to him whenever they spotted him and even attempted to gain his trust by offering him food. However, the dog would still flee.
They frequently called out to him for nearly a year, even giving him the name Scooby. It took a year for the dog to trust them. It would then approach the couple, even follow them, but not so closely that they could touch him.
When Maria looked out her window one day, she noticed Scooby in their backyard. The dog frequented their property for several days, even venturing near the pool. However, it did not approach them close enough.
Therefore, Joe decided to let their pet dog Samson out when Scooby visited their home. The two became friends immediately. They ran and played in the yard. And when Samson entered the house, Scooby reluctantly followed.
Scooby remained with the family. He got the love and security that he needed. It took Joe and Maria nearly a year to achieve this, but it was all worthwhile.
