It’s odd for cats to be the first to approach a dog, let alone follow the said dog. However, this is a regular occurrence in the life of a Labrador named Deokson. His owners are baffled whenever they go for a walk with him because some cats would always approach him.
The two cats dubbed Bert and Camen, never miss a day of interacting with Deokson. They would brush against him and attempt to cuddle with him. This would go on for the duration of the dog’s walk with his owners.
The owners are not sure why those interactions happen. They often joke that Deokson has some kind of Aura that attracts other animals. After all, he is very gentle and calm, and his owners love him for that.
Several years ago, there was another cat that loved following Deokson. However, that cat eventually disappeared. Camen and Bert appeared shortly after that first cat’s disappearance. They displayed the same behavior exhibited by that cat.
The owners tried to see if walking without Deokson would trigger the cats to approach them. Unfortunately, the cats didn’t budge when it was just them walking around. That little experiment confirmed that the cats were indeed enamored with Deokson.
Despite such an odd friendship, the owners never really bothered to find out what caused the bond to form. However, one day, something shed light on the mystery of Deokson’s charm. It was then that every interaction between their dog and his cat followers started to make sense.
The owners found out that one of the cats had given birth to several kittens. It turns out that Deokson was acting as a protector of these kittens. That is why the cats were friendly towards the dog. They saw Deokson as their savior, protector, and possibly hero.
